The Full Story
2004: I founded AVPMi to solve a security problem in parking operations. When AI identifies a vehicle, how do you ensure the valet validates it before moving it? When a customer requests their car, how do you confirm they're actually authorized?
The architecture I built: Every AI action validated against an authentication registry. AI identifies → human validates → system logs everything. Simple principle, but it had to work flawlessly because one mistake means the wrong person drives off with someone else's $80,000 car.
2004-2018: We deployed this Human AI system across airports, hotels, hospitals. Hilton, Marriott, Stanford Medicine, Miami International Airport. Twelve countries. Thousands of daily operations. The system worked because humans stayed in the critical validation layer.
2018: I sold AVPMi. The business was profitable, the architecture was proven, and I was ready for something different. I went sailing. My boat's name says it all: TIME OUT.
2018-2020: During that time out, I kept thinking about the validation problem. I realized the same architecture that worked for parking would work for hotel voice services—guests ordering room service, requesting valet, calling housekeeping. Same principle: authenticate the user, validate the request, log the transaction.
2020: I was awarded US Patent 10,580,098 B2 for "Voice Activated Hotel Room Monitor"—the same Human AI validation architecture, applied to hospitality.
Here's what I realized:
- • The validation problem is universal
- • Every industry deploying AI tools faces it
- • Most companies are solving it from scratch (or not at all)
- • I've already debugged it over 20 years in production
2025: I'm back. Not to build another parking company or launch a hotel product. I'm here to help you implement the Human AI validation architecture that actually works—the one I spent 20 years proving in parking, then patented for hospitality, and now adapt to whatever you're building.
The principle is proven. The patent is granted. Now let's apply it to your operations.
